This is not a formal article on any specific topic, just wanted to mention two quick points related to Muharram-ul-Haram.
Point 1: Recommendation
In previous blog we were discussing that Azadari-e-Imam Hussain (a.s.) should be source of character & personality building. In current era there are many ways of misguiding a common person specially media, different propagandas are launched from various sources and among those sources unfortunately one source is MULLA (A person who does not have sufficient knowledge of Islam and Rulings of Maraje and with the limited knowledge he starts guiding people, sometimes on your TV screen and sometimes on mimbar).
In comments of previous blog someone pointed towards a true picture of our nature, we are not willing to listen to a person whom we know that he will not tell us any unauthentic thing just because he is not a renowned speaker; we prefer to go to majalis on basis of venues and no. of people gathered there.

Point 2: Live broadcast
With the advancement in technology, today Alhumdollilah there are many momineen who are working on providing different facilities so that people from all around the world can participate in Azadari-e-Syedushuhada (a.s.). For example many TV channels are broadcasting live majalis, local cable providers are also working for this cause. Many websites are doing live broadcast and this year telecommunication companies have also provided facility to listen live majalis through a conference call. Mashallah, all those who are giving their efforts for Azadari-e-Imam Hussain (as) will be rewarded heavily, Inshallah.

BUT
I am more than 100% sure that none of the organizers wanted to provide this facility with the intention that people should remain at home and listen to those majalis, this service is beneficial if you belong to any of the following criteria.
1. If a person is living at such place especially outside Pakistan, India etc. where there are limited majalis.
2. A person cannot leave home due to age factor, weather condition, political disturbance etc. etc.
3. Health is not permitting him to step out.
4. Women who prefer to go in ladies majalis only.
5. Any other unavoidable circumstances.

What will we say if someone living on 5 mins. walk from Imambargah who is physically fit and is admitting that there is as such no problem for him in going at imambargah, is listening live majlis on TV and when asked for the reason, the simple reply is that when there is one facility available to listen same majlis then does it matter if I listen at home or at imambargah?
Lying on a bed with a packet of chips and listening to masaib-e-Imam Hussain, is this a good way of Azadari?

ReplyDeleteagree to the fact that if you can go majlis physically then you should go and just because you have alternate option if u stay at home is not justifiable.
ReplyDeleteregarding point 1 there are many other maulanas whom you can listen to. like zaki baqri, ali murtaza zaidi, taqi shah naqvi, kalb-e-sadiq etc. i think they all are knowledgeable people. Fiqh is no doubt extremely important part in islam but i think that in muharram majlis fazail portion should be history and fazail-e-ahlebait. from this sentence plz donot understand that i m under estimating the importance of fiqh, just in first ashra history, fazail, ekhlaqiaat shld be the topic
ReplyDeleteregarding propoganda type majlis, i think it is mostly in small town and villages where ppl are anti mujtahid or concepts like kalima-e-wilayat in namaz etc.
I am all time fan of Qibla Sadiq Hassan .. his speeches are inspiration for me and what ever change i feel in myself is due to his speeches. I have also done hajj with him and let me tell you that he is encyclopedia masail e hajj.

jo point app ne majlis ke kiye kaha ke imambargah mey jana zaroori hai ghar per beth ker majlis sunna theek nahi wohi point juloos kay liye bhi hai. amaal-e-ashura kareen aur zaroor kareen leken yeh na ho ke ek mehfil mey chalay gaee, waheen amal bhi ker liye, matam bhi kerlia aur niaz kha ker ghar ageee, yeh tu poora saal ka routine hota hai, 10 muharam ke din amal kereen aur markazi juloos mey bhi shirkat farmaeen.

It is human nature to prefer NOT to listen to things, where one is required to think & act contrary to oneself (nafs) & against the pleasures being enjoyed. People usually prefer not to have any responsibility cast on them, where action or change is demanded of them. We are hopeful of our salvation through the Ahlulbayt (as) & Azadari by itself is extremely useful for us, in almost all its forms & an Ibadat without any doubt.The Majalis must contain praise for the Ahlulbayt/our aqaed & even the famous historical events/wars which depict their personality. This is especially required for our children who also need to be told.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Live Telecast: I appreciate those who made this possible. There is no relation of Live Telecast of Majalis and sitting at home. We Must go to attend majalis and give pursa to Bibi fatima(s.a), together as we go to Namaz e Jamat. Show the strength , give condolence to eachother is very important.
Going to attend Jusoos is also important. You can do Amaal e ashoora at home there is no problem .

After listening different ashras of Karachi, I really liked majlis of Maulana Komail Mehdvi who was reciting at Mehfil-e-Shuhad-e-Karbala (Kharadar).
ReplyDeleteThe good part of his majlis was really 3 things, first fazail-e-ahlebait was highlighted in very good way, second there was Ali Ali in his majlis but everything he said was with some reference either hadees or story of any marja/aalim and thirdly every majlis had some message and some new things to learn.

I have been analysis for last 3 to 4 years that these days no concrete knowledge is being delivered in Moharram Majalis especially (from Mehfile Shah-e-Khorasan). Today the time is so rough on Shias and this is THE ONLY time that thorough and with fresh concept knowledge is conveyed such that the faith of religion becomes more adamant othewise I presume it would take no time for shias to get defeated against today faul plays and dirty politics.

ReplyDeleteBUT we are responcible for this. before appointing any Mulla in our Idara why we do not ask his certificates of his Islamic qualifications. ws
